From an early age, New Orleans native Frank Carlino, Jr (aka Dj Voodoo), has played his signature breakbeat and electro sound at local NOLA establishments as well as high visibility events across the country. DJ Voodoo’s roots as an electronic music artist may have been established at an early age, but it wasn’t until running a record store in the greater New Orleans area was his true calling emerged through the founding of ‘Black Magic Records’, by both Frank Carlino and Michael Scott Baldenhofer (aka The Liquid Method). Together their sound reached global status with their 1995 breakout hit “Everybody Thinks I’m High and I Am” on Black Magic Records.

Vicious Vic's credentials as a dance music phenomenon are undeniable. A veteran of the East coast rave scene, he helped give the sound of the New York underground global recognition by DJing alongside such East coast luminaries like Frankie Bones, John Debo, Scott Henry, James Christian, Feel Good, Diesel Boy, Micro, DJ Icee, Bad Boy Bill, Keoki, Josh Wink and Rabbit in The Moon.

As a natural progression from his success as a DJ, Vicious Vic joined with DJ Micro under the pseudonym 'Progression' to produce a series of hugely successful remixes and original works. The duo became overnight heroes in the international dance scene following the release of their massive debut single 'Reach Further' which became an instant club smash. The increasingly sought after duo were soon commissioned to remix artists from Paradise 3001 and Joe T. Vanelli to Masters at Work, as well as a wickedly groovy remix of the Dado's 'X Files' theme. Progression's first album 'Progress Into Our Future' on Sorted Records received international attention following their remixes and original work, most notably with the massive single "Reach Further " the full length album was described by Mixmag as "seamlessly mixed and a hardcore good time."

Continuing to explore new musical horizons, Vic produced a successive string of hits for some of the world's most respected labels including the UK's Open label formed by the Ministry of Sound, Strictly Rhythm, Nervous/Sorted, Adrenalin, and Black Sunshine Esp-Sun & Caffiene. With Vic's visibility and reputation continuing to grow, he's appeared at clubs and raves worldwide including tours of the US, Japan, England, Canada, and Hong Kong. In addition, Vicious Vic has produced a number of widely acclaimed mixed CDs including 'Capsule' (Journees Music), & 'Trance Voyages' (Topaz).
