Hailing from the New York rave scene of the 1990’s, DJ Orion aka drbblz ripped up dance floors with his own dubstep/ funk / electro / nu skool break beats. Pushing the envelope of aggressive scratching & funky mixes; DJ Orion was known for his ability to take control of a crowd and never leave a dance floor empty and leave them in amazement with his DMC abilities.

With a quick rise as a staple in the New York scene and a resident DJ for the legendary “Stuck on Earth”, he played for over a decade at just about every massive event up and down the East Coast and beyond.

When Orion wasn’t ripping down the house at a major party, along side regular tag partners like Reid Speed, Datcyde, and IXL, he was at work with one of the country’s largest dance music distributors “Nemesis” and running his own independent breaks/drum and bass label “Reptile recordings”. Since that time DJ Orion has had multiple solo releases as well as collaboration projects with partner in crime Datcyde (Taciturn Recordings). Today DJ Orion can be found producing for west coast labels such as Journees Music, collaborating with Blunted Funk records for some dabbling in the world of funky mash up as well hosting his own online radio show under the alias “Dj Drbblz” on AreciboRadio.org. It’s no surprise to see this original talent of New York venture into so many worlds but Dj Orion always comes back to what he loves most; beats, breaks and everything funky on the decks.
