Phonomental, DJ CultureThis California native started playing records for local break dance acts and private events in the mid-eighties. This lead Jeff to perform in top nightclubs and radio mix shows. Today the name “Simply Jeff” is known across the globe for supporting the music he loves the most. This west coast breaks pioneer currently writes breakbeat reviews for Los Angeles based BPM Magazine as well as running the Phonomental Music label based out of Newport Beach, California which include top breakbeat artist such as Uberzone, Elite Force, John Kelley, Josef Plante and B-Side to name a few. Jeff also maintains a busy dj tour schedule and over sees operation of his highly acclaimed record shop in Costa Mesa, California called “Dj Culture” which attracts frequent visits by DJ Rap, Dj Irene, Charles Feelgood, Donald Glaude, John Kelley, Swedish Egil, Dj Mea, DJ Lynwood and more. DJ Culture (djculture.com) is also the home of a weekly mix show with Simply Jeff and Mizota showcasing all the freshest releases direct from the record shop to the world wide web! Jeff, Phonomental & DJ Culture produces Orange County's breaks night on the first thursday of every month titled Tsunami Breaks
